Add your product costs

Profit is only as true as your costs. Every profit number says if it is Exact, an Estimate, or has Costs missing.

1. Open Costs.
2. Press Download a file to fill in. It has every product and size, with the cost Shopify already has.
3. Fill in the cost per item without VAT, in the cost_per_unit_ex_vat column. 12.50 means £12.50.
4. Press Import a file and pick the file. TrueProfit and BeProfit cost files work too.
5. For anything still blank, set Products with no cost to about the % of price they cost you, and press Save rules.

A cost you add also fixes the past sales that had none, so last month's profit is right too.

Add your monthly costs (staff, apps, rent) under Monthly costs. They are spread over the days of each month.
